I had a lot of time to think about all the people who not only donate blood and platelets, but who make such a thing possible…my nurses, the blood bank workers, etc. It is always amazing to me how many people come together to keep other people alive. This is my little drawn homage to them. I don’t know why it appears to be an elephant in space; it just is. But I do know I have been drawing these same little angel-birds for at least 45 years. They come when you need them. And thanks to them, I’m feeling much better now!
