I directed the stage version of Tending to Grace, along with my good friend Laurie Smith Murphy. It’s based on a beautiful novel by Kimberly Newton Fusco about a girl who has a severe stutter, and retreats into her own head and the comforting world of books. Books are also one of the things that help her find her voice.
